I began working with glass because I was interested in working with fire and originally trained as a scientific glass technologist using traditional flameworking techniques with a torch.  After I was introduced to glass fused in a kiln, I became fascinated by the way glass behaves because there were so many variables resulting from fusing schedules, reactions of different color glass combinations and copper strand inclusions.

The majority of my work consists of layered multi-fused glass panels depicting trees, flowers and landscapes which are designed to hang in windows.  As the seasons change, ever changing natural light filtering through my work gives the impression that you are continually viewing new artwork.
